February 1st, 2026
Whats up, it’s ya boy. Here to update you on the next chapter and then perhaps a little more. Chapter 9 is still in it’s outlining phase. It’s 90% written and I know how it’s going to end now but I’m usually done with the outline at this point in the timeline so I wanna say something about that. After taking a break last year I felt quite good about working on my funny rat comic but as I continued working that same feeling crept up on me. I don’t want to stop working on it again so I had to take a look at why burn out was coming back so fast. I’m fairly certain it’s the time constraints I put on myself. Making each chapter in 2 months is more than enough time but whenever I fell behind I would feel it again and when I couldn’t catch up or if anything happened and I fell MORE behind the feeling that I wasn’t doing enough, fast enough would just nag at me and hinder my ability to actually do what I want. So I’ve decided that I’ll just release chapters when they’re done. I will still try to do my work in these 2 month chunks but I need to also let myself breath.
Now that boring talk is out of the way I wanna say one more thing. After this chapter is finished I’m going to be entirely remaking Chapter 1. Basically it’s the worst looking chapter, with an ok story. I can do better and I’ve had great ideas to bring what I want to life. One of my favorite thing I’ve gotten out of this comic is that’s genuinely started learning to draw, something that I’ve wanted to do all my life. And I’m so proud I took those first steps, but they are sloppy, off model and it’s the first thing people will see when they read the comic and I wanna put my best foot forward. So I’m going to rewrite and draw the whole thing.
Anyway sorry for such a long update, just had a lot on my mind that I wanted to put into words. I hope you’re having a nice day or night or evening or morning or some other time. Ok time to go back to writing. (backflips into the sunset)

Hello everybody and Happy new year. Chapter 8 came out a few day late but IT’S NOT MY FAULT(mostly). But it’s out now so don’t freak out please. I hope to continue drawling my little rats and I hope you can find enjoyment from them. I wish you a good year and great luck with your cheese. Edit: I’m going to be replacing the art on the website because all the art it from like a year and a half ago and I’ve gotten way better at drawling so I’ll be updating stuff a little bit.

Chapter 7 is out but first I’d like to say, sorry for the late arrival of this chapter. After the release of chapter 6 I felt a little burnt out, I took a break like i normally would do. But once I started working on the outline and by the end I was feeling both good and awful about how it was turning out and I knew I needed a longer break so I took a little more then a full month off. I worked on a Youtube video about a game I’ve been really enjoying and made some rough animations as practice. Once I started drawling Chapter 7 I felt pretty good about it, and now as I write this I feel pretty good about it. Although I always feel like not enough it happening in a single chapter. Also a new advertiser was added about a week ago and hopefully one more will be add not too long after. I hope you enjoy the chapter. Have a good day or night or whatever time it is. (hasn’t left the house in weeks.)

Hello everyone and I apologies for the late arrival but chapter 5 is here for you too enjoy. I usually like to update once a month but April was a busy month fore me personally and honestly all I had too say was, “I’m working on it.” Slow and steady work. Speaking of, I’ll probably take a few days off just to destress. Hopefully chapter 6 will be out in 2 months time anyway. This will likely be the only update until the next chapter unless something interesting happens in the mean time. Until then, keep on ratting! (what does that mean?)

Chapter 4 is now done, now on to chapter 5. This chapter is much less action and cool stuff then chapter 3 but it’s go some jokes that I adore. I hope you enjoy if your reading this. Have a good day, I’m going too nap now. Smell ya later.

What a year 2025 has been. But it’s only been a month? Lies I assure you.
Progress on chapter 4 was slow at first but now I’m on pace so the next chapter should be out before March. Sooner if all keeps going well. Happy Valentines or something ok BYE!!!

Woah it’s 2025 and I hate this fact. I’m also sick which is a shame as I was planning on drinking as anyone normal person would. Instead I lay in bed looking at fish. This fish has infected my beloved website so check it out if your interested. Happy New Year everybody and I hope to draw many rats in the coming year.

Well it’s already been a month. I can’t tell if it feels like yesterday or a life time ago but regardless its been a month. So I figured I post a little update for anyone who actually might be reading these and can’t get enough rat action. Chapter 3 is well on it way, It’s about half way finished as it should be. I’m almost 50% done with the art and I had planned on it but forgot about thanksgiving and wasn’t able to work on anything for a few day. This next chapter will be finished by the end of the year. Maybe even before Christmas, but I’m not holding my breath. Happy holidays and have a ratastic day.

Chapter 2 of Mouse in this Land™ is now complete and WILL hurt you. Originally I would have hoped to release 1 chapter a month. But the chapters are going to be longer then I once thought so it’ll be more like 2 month for 1 chapter. I’d rather have a nice chunk of stuff happened then like 1 thing happen and that’s it. Anyway I hope you enjoy and likely the next chapter will release around the end of the year. Also I might be getting another advertiser, well see :). I hope you have a good day.
